The route

How to Get There

Utrecht Central Station is next to the venue. The city is about thirty minutes from Amsterdam Schiphol Airport by train or car.

01

By air

Amsterdam Schiphol Airport is the main international gateway to the Netherlands. The published journey time from Schiphol to Utrecht was about thirty minutes by train or car.

Trains from Schiphol run to Utrecht Central Station, which sits beside the Beatrix Building. Delegates arriving by air could reach the venue without a separate taxi if they chose the train.

02

By train, bus and on foot

Utrecht Central Station is directly beside the Jaarbeurs complex. From the station, delegates followed the signs for Jaarbeursplein. The Beatrix Building was a few minutes on foot from the platforms.

The bus station is also next to the central station. Regional and local buses stop beside the central station throughout the day. The walk from the bus terminal to the Beatrix Building is short.

The walk from the station to Jaarbeurs took about five minutes and was signposted from the concourse.

03

By car

Drivers left the Utrecht ring road at the Jaarbeurs exit and followed the venue signs. For parking P1, the published navigation address was Graadt van Roggenweg 400, Utrecht.

The city was working on major road changes around Jaarbeurs during the period around the meeting. Delegates were advised to check current access information before travelling. Park and ride sites at the edge of the city offered another option, with a shuttle into the centre.

04

By bicycle

Utrecht is a bicycle city. In 2018 the city recorded more than 125,000 cycle trips a day between 07:00 and 19:00. There were about 12,000 places to park a bicycle at the central station, and 245 kilometres of cycle path across the city.

Bicycles could be rented in several places in the city. The province also published recreational routes for visitors who wanted to see more of the region.
