The general call
General abstract submission closed on 10 March 2019. Notifications were scheduled for 3 May 2019, with presentation times and dates to follow before the end of June.

The other routes into the programme
Symposium proposals
Prospective organisers proposed ninety minutes with three to five talks. The subject had to connect to a meeting theme or to another environmental epidemiology topic. The review looked at relevance and focus, the importance and originality of the subject, scientific and technical value, the quality and diversity of speakers, student and new researcher involvement, and the format. The deadline was 18 January 2019.
Preconference workshops
A limited number of rooms was available on Sunday 25 August 2019 for half day or full day workshops. Room and catering costs had to be covered by the workshop participants. The deadline for proposals was 31 January 2019.
Early morning sessions
A limited number of rooms was available on the Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday mornings. The deadline for proposals was 31 January 2019.
Side meetings
Anyone wanting to hold a side meeting during the conference wrote to the secretariat with the meeting's purpose, its length, the number of people expected, the preferred day and time, and any audiovisual needs. The side meeting organisers covered the costs.
