The ISEE 2019 conference will be inclusive to delegates from around the world. Travel awards are primarily for attendees currently residing in developing countries. Countries classified as developing countries for this purpose are those whose economies are listed by the World Bank as “Low income”, “Lower Middle Income”, or “Upper Middle Income” in the World Bank list of economies. A limited number of travel awards is also available through an NIH grant for members of under-represented groups working in the USA (all students and new researchers from a developed country are considered an under-represented group for the purpose of the award). Awards will be issued as reimbursements, not provided in advance. Selection criteria include quality of abstract, diversity, need, and contributions to environmental epidemiology.
Travel award applications should be submitted with abstracts and are also due by March 15, 2019, at 11:59 PM CET. Forms can be downloaded from the abstract submission website, which opens February 1, 2019.
Support Students and Delegates from LMIC Countries
Our goal is to host an inclusive meeting that is welcoming to students and attendees from developing / low and middle income countries. Please help us to achieve this goal by contributing to the ISEE 2019 student and developing countries fund during the online registration.
Thank you for helping us to support inclusivity in 2019! Click here for more information about how students, early career researchers and developing countries are defined for the purpose of ISEE 2019 support.
